The Zonal Recruitment Lead is responsible for overseeing the recruitment process of blue-collar security employees across Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Puducherry. This role involves developing recruitment strategies, sourcing talent, managing large-scale hiring, and collaborating with regional HR, operations, and training teams to ensure staffing requirements are met efficiently. You will be instrumental in building a skilled and reliable workforce while maintaining compliance with statutory regulations and company policies.
Recruitment Strategy & Planning:
Develop and implement targeted recruitment strategies for security personnel in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Puducherry.
Analyze workforce demand to forecast recruitment needs based on attrition, new contracts, and operational expansions.
Identify and utilize key sourcing channels such as job fairs, community outreach, and digital platforms to ensure a consistent pipeline of qualified candidates.
Talent Sourcing & Outreach:
Organize mass recruitment drives to fill security positions in a timely manner.
Build strong relationships with vocational training institutes, local community organizations, and government employment schemes.
Leverage digital tools like job portals, social media, and local advertising to attract suitable candidates.
Candidate Screening & Selection:
Oversee the screening process to ensure candidates meet physical, educational, and skill criteria.
Conduct initial interviews to assess communication skills, fitness levels, and relevant experience.
Manage the verification process, including background checks, police verifications, and reference checks.
Onboarding & Training Coordination:
Collaborate with the training team to ensure new recruits undergo mandatory training programs.
Ensure the timely processing of documentation such as identity verification, medical records, and offer letters.
Issue ID cards, uniforms, and complete the onboarding process.
Regional Collaboration:
Work closely with regional and branch-level HR teams to understand and address local recruitment needs.
Align recruitment efforts with operational requirements by coordinating with zonal operations teams for deployment schedules.
Compliance & Reporting:
Ensure recruitment practices comply with local labor laws, statutory requirements (e.g., ESI, PF), and company policies.
Maintain accurate records of recruitment activities, and produce weekly and monthly reports for senior management.
Employee Engagement & Retention:
Develop initiatives to improve candidate and employee satisfaction throughout the recruitment and onboarding processes.
Support retention strategies by gathering feedback and identifying potential improvements.
Crisis & Attrition Management:
Proactively identify and manage recruitment challenges in high-attrition areas.
Develop contingency plans to address urgent staffing needs due to attrition or sudden deployments.
Process Improvement & Innovation:
Evaluate and optimize current recruitment processes for efficiency.
Implement technology-driven solutions to streamline hiring processes (e.g., recruitment software).
Stakeholder Management:
Act as the primary point of contact for external recruitment vendors and agencies.
Ensure alignment with regional HR and operations teams for smooth execution of recruitment activities.
Recruitment Volume: Number of hires compared to recruitment targets.
Time-to-Fill: Average time taken to fill vacancies.
Cost-per-Hire: Recruitment cost-efficiency.
Retention Rate: Percentage of new hires retained post-probation.
Compliance Rate: Adherence to legal and documentation requirements.
Candidate Quality: Number of hires meeting physical, educational, and skill requirements.
Operational Alignment: Timely deployment and success in meeting client expectations.
Age: 25–35 years (preferred).
Gender: Male candidates preferred.
Physical Fitness: Minimum height of 5’8” and physically fit.
Languages: Fluency in English, Thamizh, and Hindi is essential.
Education: Bachelor's degree (preferably in Security Management or Law Enforcement).
Experience: 5–7 years in security operations; 2–3 years in a supervisory role.
Skills: Strong leadership, crisis management, client relationship management, and resilience under pressure.
Experience: 5-7 years in recruitment, especially in blue-collar sectors such as security, logistics, or construction.
Leadership: Proven experience in leading recruitment teams across multiple locations.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with bulk hiring, HRMS, ATS systems, and recruitment software.
Compliance Knowledge: Expertise in statutory labor laws, ESI, PF, and other employment regulations.
Problem-Solving: Quick decision-making and a proactive mindset to address recruitment gaps.
